their luck in building their future. They came from different parts of the
Island, some traveled strenuously and some did it like no hassle at all.
Expectedly, there were some who brought their parents to help in the line,
some did it on their own and the other a happily and confidently went
through the process with their high school buddies.
WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHEASTERN PHILIPPINES SCHOOL YEAR 2002-2003.
Let's meet our characters that will truly provide spark to our
story. Pat is a nerdy student who's been undecided on what career he wanted.
Together with his co-high school classmates, they fall in line to the
Institute of Computing for the interview. Institute of Computing caters the
courses such as Computer Science and Information Technology. Pat and his
friends namely Herbert, Billy, and Ray choose IT. Herbert is the former
campus heartthrob during their high school days although he came from a
wealthy family, he manage to go college. Billy is the master of prank, a
dancer, and a notified babe magnet. Ray is certified gym buff until he went
into an accident and needs to take steroids for easy recovery that is why he
is now suffering from weight problem."Nakulbaan man ko oi!", Pat said. "Ok
ra lagi na Pat!", Ray replied. It was long queue even if it was just the
first day of interview; maybe the freshmen students were that excited
entering college. But later they will know a roller coaster ride that will
change their lives drastically.
Side from the group of Pat, another group went on the queue, and
they were Shy, Ria, and Chippy. They were so annoying and overpowering
because they dressed up as if they were invited to a rave. Everyone in the
line talks about there existence because Shy was known as the leader of
Black Metal Power in their high school. And Ria became the girlfriend of the
matinee idol and Chippy was a rehab survivor. All of a sudden the a girl
went to the group of Shy and slap her and said "A Manos". And that girl was
MJ the leader of the terror Panabo Gilfriends which the mortal enemy of
Black Metal Power headed by Shy. Chippy tried to pull off her pen and ready
to stab MJ but a guy cool down the situation and he is Larejun a not so tall
guy and a neighbor of Maricris a timid girl. Larejun grab MJ's arm and they
went out to stay away from trouble. MJ was so angry that he slap Larejun's
face "Kinsa man k?","Sorry Miss kung gi uwang tamo pero first year p man gud
tah, basig ma expel dayon ta. Concern lng man ko."larejun said. "Unsai
panaglan nimo?" "Larejun diay Miss" "Ayaw na ug pakita sa akoa ha." And Mj
went back to the queue.
After that stressful waiting for the interview, the hopefuls
began to drift their emotion and experiences during their slot. Some may
seem to regret and felt dismay but the group of Pat was so solid that they
did pass the event. And then the turn of MJ was announced and she went
inside the room. Good Morning Sir, said MJ. So why IT? A puzzling question
thrown by Mr. Gamboa, the terror teacher and MJ's interviewer. And MJ
immediately replied, "WHY NOT?". The teacher was impressed and
congratulated her as a student of IC. Actually, most of the applicants did
pass the interview but they were stunned by the way the college handled the
admission.
Since most of the students have no connections yet wit each
other except for the group of Pat, they went out of school and planed to go
home to regain their excreted energy. But another tension was trying to
build up when the two rivals bump with each other, Shy and MJ and they hold
on to their weapons until Larejun came and immediately acted another heroic
act. "Maayo pa no kai pa-bright-tay na lang mo sa class.Unsa diay inyong
section?" Larejun challenged. "IT 1-B, Huh! Classmate tah, yucks." The stwo
shouted. They were a bit shocked but they stopped when a dashing guy went n
his way and innocently asked the ladies "Unsai HESTORI aning U-SIP?"
